At House of Equilibrium, the teaching method is based upon the classical repertoire of Joseph Pilates. I incorporate the six fundamental principles of the method—Breathing, Concentration, Control, Centring, Precision, and Flow—while adapting the exercises to suit the needs of today’s bodies.


By bringing these principles into every lesson, the movements become more specific and effective. This approach ensures you get the most out of your practice, helping to improve both your physical and mental wellbeing in a way that works for you.

Moving in this way helps you understand your body more deeply, developing a true awareness of how you work and feel. With consistent practice, the mind and body become more resilient, relaxed, and less prone to injury.

It is a pre-requisite before joining a weekly class to have attended a "Fundamentals Pilates" programme or workshop. Here, you will be taught the key principles and fundamentals of Pilates to equip you with the right tools, understanding, and confidence to progress safely.


On completion, you will be given the opportunity to join a small gr

It is a pre-requisite before joining a weekly class to have attended a "Fundamentals Pilates" programme or workshop. Here, you will be taught the key principles and fundamentals of Pilates to equip you with the right tools, understanding, and confidence to progress safely.


On completion, you will be given the opportunity to join a small group Beginner class. To ensure personal attention, there is a maximum of 10 students in each programme.

I teach at various levels, from Absolute Beginner through to Improver. With smaller groups, it is wonderful to see everyone getting to know each other, making new friends, and developing a support network as the weeks go on.

Because Pilates is a practice that requires consistency, students pay for their place monthly to encourage regular weekly attendance. Beginners are also sent a recording to help aid home practice.


Beginner (Max 12 students) These classes are slow-paced, providing a sound foundation to build upon the key principles and fundamentals.


4-week month: £40.00

5-week month: £50.00


Mixed Ability (Max 15 students) Offers a balanced blend of beginner Pilates exercises with options for more advanced variations.
